Caffeine in it is a drug that is taken by most students to help them stay awake when they are studying either at late night or very early in the morning. This is where coffee outshines tea but unfortunately, excess caffeine in it leads to addiction.

Coffee is also known to fight diseases such as colon and liver cancers which bring it much more close to tea. It also prevents the type II diabetes especially when taken with less sugar. However, there is a belief that coffee can cause heart diseases. There are no convincing proves on this assumption but is yet to be proven.

There is no satisfying reason to consider any of the two drinks better than the other. It is because they have a lot of similarities and the differences are minimal. For instance, tea contains more antioxidants than coffee making it perfect for prevention of many diseases. On the other hand, coffee contains more caffeine making it a great stimulant. What makes people believe tea is the perfect drink is the fact that coffee is addictive. Otherwise, there is no scientific proof of tea superiority over coffee. If you don’t want addiction, tea is recommended.
